Welcome to Rebild Kalkmineløb 2025 - Denmark's perhaps most beautiful exercise race through Nature, Hills and Limestone Mines. Rebild Kalkmineløb is a unique exercise experience where you get close to some of Denmark's most spectacular nature. The race takes you close past the beautiful Rebild Hills, clear springs and through forest areas in the most beautiful autumn splendor, and as a special highlight you will run through the historic Thingbæk Limestone Mines - an unforgettable short stretch, where the atmosphere and the beautifully lit mines take you completely into another world. The route extends around Gravlev Sø in Lindenborg Ådal. You will come up over REGAN Vest and up to the highest point in the area with an impressive view of Rebild Hills. Rebild Kalkmineløb has distances for both experienced runners and families, so everyone can enjoy nature and the special atmosphere: This year we are again offering a child- and stroller-friendly route of 3 km. In addition, we have routes of 5 km (119 meters of elevation gain), 10.5 km (173 meters of elevation gain) and the half marathon distance of 21.1 km (346 meters of elevation gain). There will be timing chips for all participants of 10.5 and 21.1 km. The routes are primarily on gravel roads, forest and field paths and a little on asphalt roads. The terrain is hilly at times. The 3 km route can be completed with a stroller, while all other routes, among other things, have to go up over the “Mountain Tape with the Special View”, as previous participants will surely remember. Trail shoes will give you an advantage here and in the forest, but are not necessary to complete the race. A race with a focus on quality, experience and depots. Along the route you will find manned depots with cold drinks and refreshments, ensuring that you get the best out of your experience. The start and finish are at the Rebildcentret with Thingbæk Limestone Mines. After the race, there is ample opportunity to stay in the area on blankets brought in the green areas. There are also tables, benches and chairs as well as an indoor cafe with cold and hot drinks, etc. With a start number for this year's Kalkmineløb you have access to the Rebildcentret all day, which includes the welcome building, the exhibition building, the "Kildetårnet", outdoor areas and not least Thingbæk Kalkminer.   To minimize waste, we offer the purchase of a delicious wrap and/or a beautiful medal - choose what suits you: Wrap (freshly made on the day): 55 kr.
