The Historical Peninsula race course, home to 8,000 years of history, is enthusiastically run every year accompanied by the unique beauty of Istanbul! This unique Istanbul Half Marathon race course, which holds Turkey’s first athletics record with the Women’s World Half Marathon record in 2021 and ranks first in the Road Running Rankings, also offers athletes the opportunity to achieve their best times!

The Historical Peninsula Race Course

It is perfect for 21K run… This race course, which has no altitude difference, offers athletes a unique opportunity to achieve their best. However, this is not the only feature that makes this race course unique: The Historical Peninsula race course, surrounded on one side with the view of the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn, and on the other side with a historical texture dating back to 8,000 years, gives runners no choice but to enjoy the race.

Race Course Information

The starting point of the Istanbul Half Marathon Race Course is the LANGA bus stop in front of the Yenikapı rally area in FATIH District. The race, which starts from here, will pass the Galata Bridge along the coastal road, Kennedy Street, Kumkapı, Cankurtaran, Catladıkapı, Sarayburnu, Sirkeci lights, Eminonu and Karakoy direction. The race making a “U” turn from the lights at the end of the bridge will be run from Eminonu, Unkapanı, Cibali, Abdulezelpasa Caddesi, Ayvansaray, Halic Bridge to Yenikapı using the same coastal road in the opposite direction by making a “U” turn from the FATIH District border and will end at the starting point.

Finisher Medal

All athletes who complete the race within the time limit of 3 hours and 25 minutes (half) and 1 hour 30 minutes (10K) will receive a medal at the finish line.

Drink&Nutrition Stations:

There are feeding stations every 5 km on the track. Between the feeding stations, there are water and sponge stations.

Bag Drop:

Your personal official racing bag will be delivered to you - location and time to be published later. Fill in the requested information on the back of your bag number and attach it to your bag. The number must be attached to your bag before the race. Please do not use this number if you are not going to deliver bags.

Only the bags given to the athletes by the organizing committee are accepted in the safety tents.

Toilets:

There will be public and portable toilets available in various spots on the race course. The toilet spots will be indicated with signs so as to ensure that runners get easy access. The toilets will generally be placed 100 to 200 meters after water stations.
